This section handles all matters relating to staff welfare. It is mandated to develop Employee Assistance programmes and organize seminars/workshops in conjunction with the Staff Training and Development Unit; assist new staff to settle on their job by helping them to complete employee-related documents such as SSNIT forms; settle disputes involving staff of the University together with the Head of the Legal Office.
The section is also responsible for providing social and outreach programmes to promote collegiality and socialisation among members of the University Community; acting as liaison between the University and its pensioners and offer assistance to them; and assisting families of deceased members of staff during bereavement.
