Mr. Daniel Kumi-Djan holds a Diploma in Education and BA (Hons) Economics & Sociology, both from the University of Cape Coast in 1993. He also holds an MSc Development Policy and Planning which he obtained in 2000 from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
He began his career as a Staff Secretary/Acting Assistant Headmaster at the Bomaa Secondary School in 1995 and was a year later appointed as the first District Planning Officer of the Wenchi District.
In 2001, Mr. Kumi-Djan joined the University as an Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Dean of Students. He has over the years risen through the ranks, working in various offices/schedules including the Registrar’s Office, Examinations Office, School of Graduate Studies and currently Deputy Registrar heading the General Administration Division. From 2013 to 2018, Mr. Kumi-Djan served as Registrar for the KNUST-Africa Institute of Sanitation and Waste Management (K-AISWAM), Accra, an affiliate of the University.
Mr. Daniel Kumi-Djan is a positive minded, highly determined and resourceful person who ensures quality and leads by example. As a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, Mr. Kumi-Djan is an effective team player who enjoys team work and is always willing to contribute to investigating, analyzing and resolving issues. He is happily married with three (3) children and a devoted Christian.
