GUSSS Secretariat
The Secretariat of the Ghana Universities Staff Superannuation Scheme (GUSSS), also known as the Pensions Secretariat, is responsible for providing general office management and administration of the Pension Secretariat; liaising with Maintenance Department and Development Office to ensure the maintenance of the Hostels; responding to complaints and concerns of students in the Hostels; handling the day-to-day administration of GUSSS; supervising the Secretariat and other ancillary staff.
It is also mandated to coordinate procurement activities of the hostels; organise training programmes/fora to educate members of staff on the benefits of the various schemes; liaise with Human Resource Division of the Registrar’s Offices to compile data of prospective retirees; assist in updating staff records; coordinate room allocation; and liaise with pensioners on matters relating to their benefits.
