Dr. Ankamah-Lomotey Appointed Registrar of CKT-UTAS
Dr. Vincent Anum Ankamah-Lomotey, the College Registrar of College of Science, KNUST, has been appointed as the first Registrar of the C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Navrongo.
Dr. Ankamah-Lomotey, an expert in Curriculum Development, Science Communication, Research Uptake and Utilisation has over twenty years’ experience in Higher Education Management. Prior to joining KNUST as an Assistant Registrar in July 1998, he was an astute Science and Mathematics tutor for ten years. Dr. Ankamah-Lomotey rose through the ranks to the position of a Deputy Registrar. He served as the Deputy Registrar in charge of General Administration, Academic and Students Affairs, University Relations, College of Engineering and College of Science at different times in his career.
Dr. Ankamah-Lomotey graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a bachelor’s degree in Physics (Major) and Mathematics (Minor) and a Diploma in Education. He was awarded the Oversees Development Administration (ODA) now DFID scholarship to Bristol, United Kingdom, where he undertook and graduated with a Master of Science Education in1996. He obtained his PhD in Science and Technology from University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2019.
He is the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Champion for KNUST, a member of the ACU’s network for Higher Education and the Sustainable Development Goals, and an international conference speaker on Higher Education and Responsible University.
He is currently a leader of more than ten (10) international students’ recruitment teams, an External Assessor, a Committee for the Appointment of Registrar, Christian Service University College, CUC, Member, Technical Resource Team, Knowledge for Change (K4C); an International Consortium for Training in Community-Based Research, Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Canada among other various executive positions and capacities.
