Admissions
The section deals with all matters relating to admission of students into programmes of study in the University. Specifically, the section provides general assistance to the Deputy Registrar; implement regulations and policies on admissions; process and issue Admission Letters; maintain Admission Records and Statistics; liaise with the University Admissions Committees on admissions; assist with the organisation of Matriculation; liaise with the Finance Office on student grants, fees, among others; act as liaison with sponsors of students’ maintenance programmes including Scholarships Secretariat, GETFund, etc.
In addition, the section also liaises with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for the verification of results of prospective applicants; organize outreach programmes in Senior High Schools both locally and internationally for admissions; and collate data on students with the Quality Assurance and Planning Unit.
The current schedule officer, Mr. Charles Asamoah-Boateng, serves as Secretary to the University Undergraduate Admissions Committee.
