Mr. Solomon Panford, the College Registrar of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, KNUST, has been appointed Registrar of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani.
Mr. Panford holds a Bachelor of Arts (Graphic Design) from KNUST, Master of Education, University of Manchester, UK, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), KNUST and Barrister at Law Professional Certificate from the Ghana School of Law, Kumasi Campus.
Mr. Panford, who has 16 years’ experience in University Administration was appointed as a Senior Assistant Registrar in 2002 to Head the University Relations Office of KNUST. In 2005 and 2011, he was appointed Acting College Registrar, College of Health Sciences and College of Agriculture and Natural Resources respectively. In 2012, Mr. Panford was promoted to a Deputy Registrar. He worked as the College Registrar for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences till 2018. He has also served as a Member and Secretary to external Committees in the Appointments of Vice Chancellors and Registrars of other Universities.
He is a Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Public Relations Network, a Reviewer for several publications and an External Assessor for the promotion of administrative staff in tertiary institutions. He has presented papers at several local and international conferences. He is an accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR, Ghana), Ghana Bar Association, Ghana Journalists Association and The Ghana Association of University Administrators.
