GAUA donates Gh¢12,000.00 to KNUST Medical Student to aid Surgery
The KNUST branch of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has donated twelve thousand Ghana cedis (Gh¢12,000.00) to Miss Rita Adjoa Abodoh, a 4th-year Medical Student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The donation is to provide financial support to enable Miss Abodoh undergo a treatment for a malignant tumour in her right pelvic bone at an estimated cost of 150,000 Euros.
The President of GAUA, Mr. Anthony Adjapong, who made the donation on behalf of the association mentioned that the presentation forms part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to humanity when the 2023 class of Medical and Dentistry called on the association for financial support for their colleague.
Mr. Adjapong on behalf of the association wished Miss Rita Adwoa Abodoh a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of beneficiary, the Dean of KNUST School of Medicine and Dentistry (KSMD), Professor Daniel Ansong thanked GAUA for the kind gesture. Professor Ansong further appealed to the general public to come to the aid of Rita Adjoa Abodoh.
