University Security Services
The University Security Services operates under the General Administration Division. The section exists to implement strategic security plans of the University; supervise the Security Service to ensure the security of the University community; undertake investigations and intelligence gathering and physical security operations in respect of lives and properties of the University in and outside the University campus; undertake fixed beat duties, day and night joint Military/Security mobile patrols, motorbike patrols, foot patrols and detailed patrols; liaise with Human Resource Management Division to screen and recruit personnel for the security services; liaise with the appropriate offices and departments within the University, and the National Security Services, on matters bothering on the safety and security of the University community; submit situational report and briefings to Management through the Deputy Registrar, General Administration.
The Office is headed by Lt. Col. Richard Cobba-Eshun, an officer with extensive security background, whose responsibility is to manage staff in the office to achieve effective security service delivery.
